Improving the lives of breast cancer patients is at the heart of The Tyanna Foundation, which honors a mother’s life, love, and living legacy. Tyanna Barre O’Brien lost her battle with breast cancer in 1990 at the tender age of 48. Her daughters, Anne, Bridget, Megan, Sara and Kate founded The Tyanna Foundation in her honor. Since its inception, The Tyanna Foundation and its volunteers have worked tirelessly to increase awareness and generate money for breast cancer services, education, treatment and patient care.
All proceeds from The Tyanna Foundation’s Greenville chapter benefit the Greenville Health System’s Breast Health Center, which provides screenings to the underserved and underinsured men and women of The Upstate. The foundation is proud to help fund their Free Mammogram Screening Program, because early detection is the key to survival.
